Mechanical Technician

Qualifications:

  • A Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering with 5 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, or
  • An ITI Mechanical Fitter (Mechanical Maintenance) certification with 7 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting pneumatic and hydraulic schematic diagrams.
  • Welding and gas cutting knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience working in a continuous-running plant environment is required.

Responsibilities:

  • The Mechanical Technician is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of plant equipment
  • Perform repairs and troubleshooting on industrial machinery, including conveyors, gearboxes, air compressors, boilers, cooling towers, R/O & DI plants, and generators.
  • Carry out assigned preventive maintenance tasks for specific areas.
  • Enforce plant rules and regulations, develop strategies to reduce plant costs, maintain departmental standards, and ensure effective communication with all supervisors and team members.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards, performing all tasks in compliance with safety protocols.
  • Possess a strong understanding of manufacturing practices and be an effective communicator and active listener. Foster a culture of honesty, respect, and teamwork.
