Mechanical Technician

Qualifications:

• Male and female applicants are welcome.
• Applicants must be not more than 40 years old.
• Must have 3–5 years of relevant work experience in mechanical maintenance, equipment servicing, or a related technical field.
• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree, technical diploma, vocational certificate, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Maintenance, or a related discipline.
• Must hold a valid professional license or technical certification, if applicable to the position.
• Must have practical knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, pumps, motors, compressors, valves, and industrial equipment.
• Must be familiar with preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, equipment inspection, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, technical diagrams, and maintenance instructions.
• Must have knowledge of mechanical tools, measuring instruments, and workshop equipment.
• Must understand workplace safety procedures and proper handling of mechanical equipment.
• Must possess good troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be physically fit to perform maintenance tasks and work in industrial or construction environments when required.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspection, maintenance, repair, and servicing of mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and identify the causes of equipment breakdowns or performance problems.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Repair, replace, and adjust mechanical components such as bearings, belts, gears, pumps, valves, and other machine parts.
• Inspect motors, compressors, pumps, piping systems, and other mechanical equipment for proper operation.
• Assemble, install, dismantle, and align mechanical equipment according to technical specifications and manufacturer instructions.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to perform mechanical maintenance and repair work.
• Conduct equipment testing after repairs and verify that machinery is operating correctly.
• Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, repair logs, and service documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians regarding maintenance schedules and equipment requirements.
• Identify worn or damaged components and report the need for spare parts, replacements, or additional repairs.
• Follow company safety procedures, equipment operating guidelines, and applicable workplace standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the workshop, tools, and work areas.
