Daeah Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Mechanical Foreman to supervise and coordinate mechanical construction activities for projects in Mozambique. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading mechanical teams, ensuring safe and efficient execution of work, and maintaining compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience as a Mechanical Foreman or in a similar supervisory role.
• Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in any relevant field or a similar discipline.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical installation, piping works, equipment assembly, and construction practices.
• Experience supervising mechanical crews in industrial or construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documents.
• Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of HSE requirements and safe work practices.
• Experience in EPC, oil and gas, petrochemical, power plant, or heavy industrial construction projects is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead mechanical technicians, pipe fitters, millwrights, welders, and helpers in daily site activities.
• Coordinate mechanical installation, assembly, maintenance, and repair works according to project drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with approved procedures and quality standards.
• Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements and company policies.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and provide guidance to workers regarding safe work practices and job requirements.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other departments to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor manpower allocation, productivity, material usage, and work progress.
• Prepare daily work reports, manpower records, and progress updates.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality requirements.
• Perform other mechanical supervisory duties assigned by management.
