BA Industries Pte Limited is seeking an experienced and technically skilled Metal Fabrication Supervisor to oversee metal fabrication and steelwork activities in Fiji. This opportunity is ideal for experienced fabrication professionals with strong supervisory skills and a solid background in fabrication processes, steelwork, and engineering drawings.

Metal Fabrication Supervisor

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in metal fabrication, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong background in fabrication processes, steelwork, and engineering drawings.
• Proven ability to supervise and coordinate fabricators, welders, and workshop personnel.
• Strong technical, leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering and fabrication drawings accurately.
• Safety-conscious, detail-oriented, organized, and capable of maintaining high standards of fabrication quality.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily metal fabrication and steelwork activities to ensure efficient and timely project completion.
• Lead and guide fabricators, welders, and workshop personnel in carrying out assigned fabrication tasks.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Plan and organize fabrication work according to project requirements, production schedules, and available resources.
• Ensure proper fabrication techniques, tools, equipment, and materials are used for each project.
• Monitor the fabrication, cutting, fitting, assembly, and finishing of steel and metal components.
• Inspect fabricated components to ensure accuracy, proper dimensions, alignment, workmanship, and compliance with specifications.
• Identify fabrication issues, defects, or discrepancies and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, welders, installers, quality personnel, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
• Monitor manpower, materials, tools, and equipment required for fabrication activities.
• Ensure fabrication tools, machinery, and work areas are properly maintained and safely operated.
• Monitor production progress and ensure fabrication work meets established deadlines and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of fabrication activities, materials, inspections, production progress, and other project requirements.
• Enforce workplace safety procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable safety standards.
• Provide technical guidance and training to fabrication personnel to improve productivity, quality, and workmanship.
• Perform other fabrication supervision and workshop duties assigned by management.
