Maintenance Technician

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Electromechanics or equivalent through experience
  • Minimum 5 years in industrial maintenance
  • Willing to work in two shifts or a fixed night shift.
  • Willing to relocate to Belgium
  • You communicate in a fluent and positive way in English.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out repairs on machinery and industrial installations.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as modification and optimization work.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and systems.
  • Provide suggestions and recommendations to improve production processes and machine performance.
  • Troubleshoots and repais electric motors, gearboxes, pumps and rotating equipment.
  • Detects and resolves faults on conveyor systems / transport bands.
  • Performs lubrication tasks, oil changes, and mechanical adjustments.
  • Reads and interprets technical drawings, mechanical schematics, and electrical diagrams.
  • Diagnose electrical faults (sensors, actuators, contactors, relays, frequency drives).
  • Locates and corrects PLC-related issues (Siemens / Allen-Bradley / Omron) – Programming skills are a strong plus.
  • Performs basic automation tasks: parameter adjustments, I/O checks, calibration.
  • Carry out welding, fitting, and basic machining tasks (plus).
  • Ensures follow-up and documentation of interventions in maintenance systems (CMMS).
  • Cooperates with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize machine reliability.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
  • Employment certificates
  • NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
  • PEOS certificate
