Land Surveyor

Qualifications:

• Applicants must be not more than 40 years old.
• Must have 3–5 years of relevant work experience in land surveying, construction surveying, or a related field.
• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Geodetic Engineering, Surveying, Civil Engineering, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
• Must hold a valid professional license, if applicable to the position and country of practice.
• Must have practical knowledge of land surveying techniques, construction layout, elevation measurements, and boundary surveys.
• Must be proficient in operating surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, automatic levels, and other surveying equipment.
• Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, site plans, topographic maps, and construction specifications.
• Must be familiar with surveying software, CAD applications, and digital data-processing tools.
• Must have a good understanding of measurement accuracy, coordinate systems, leveling procedures, and site documentation.
• Must possess strong analytical, mathematical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be physically fit to conduct fieldwork and work outdoors under varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct land, topographic, boundary, and construction surveys to establish accurate site measurements and reference points.
• Perform field measurements to determine distances, elevations, angles, coordinates, and property boundaries.
• Operate and maintain surveying instruments, including total stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, and leveling instruments.
• Establish survey control points, benchmarks, reference lines, and construction layout points.
• Set out building foundations, roads, utilities, structures, and other construction elements according to approved drawings.
• Collect, record, process, and verify survey data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare survey plans, topographic maps, field notes, measurement reports, and as-built drawings.
• Interpret engineering plans and coordinate with civil engineers, project managers, construction supervisors, and other site personnel.
• Verify construction locations, dimensions, elevations, and alignments against approved plans and specifications.
• Identify discrepancies between actual site conditions and design drawings and report them to the project team.
• Ensure surveying activities comply with applicable technical standards, project requirements, and safety procedures.
• Maintain surveying equipment, field records, and project documentation in good condition.
