IT ENGINEER
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field.
- Preferably with 2–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or network administration.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and networking.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, server, and network problems.
- Knowledge of server, workstation, printer, and network device configuration and maintenance.
- Understanding of IT security principles, access control, data protection, and security policies.
- Experience implementing system upgrades, patches, software updates, and backups.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a technical team.
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple technical issues and support requests.
- Detail-oriented, reliable, responsible, and security-conscious.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and system-related issues efficiently.
- Provide technical support to employees and users experiencing IT problems.
- Configure, install, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, workstations, printers, and network devices.
- Monitor IT infrastructure and network performance to identify potential problems before they affect operations.
- Manage and maintain operating systems, applications, network equipment, and other IT resources.
- Implement and maintain organizational IT security policies and procedures.
- Protect company systems, networks, and data against unauthorized access, malware, and other security threats.
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, passwords, and system privileges.
- Perform regular system backups and verify the availability and integrity of backup data.
- Implement system upgrades, security patches, software updates, and other necessary system improvements.
- Maintain network connectivity and troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, internet, and other network-related issues.
- Monitor server capacity, system performance, storage, and other infrastructure resources.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, equipment, incidents, and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for equipment, software, network services, and technical support when required.
- Assist with the installation and configuration of new hardware, software, and IT equipment.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on IT systems and equipment.
- Respond to IT incidents and technical support requests in a timely manner.
- Recommend improvements to IT infrastructure, security, system performance, and operational efficiency.
- Perform other IT engineering and technical support duties as assigned by management.
