Insulation Fitter

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 4–6 years of relevant experience as an Insulation Fitter or in a similar industrial insulation position.
• Must have experience working in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Fertilizer Plants, Refineries, Chemical Plants, or similar industrial facilities.
• Must be capable of performing routine maintenance and repair work involving industrial insulation systems.
• Must have practical knowledge of insulation installation, removal, repair, and replacement techniques.
• Experience working with insulation materials used on pipes, vessels, tanks, boilers, ducts, equipment, and industrial systems is highly advantageous.
• Must be able to accurately measure, cut, shape, and install insulation materials according to specifications.
• Must understand basic workplace safety requirements when working around hot surfaces, industrial equipment, elevated work areas, and confined spaces.
• Must be physically capable of performing demanding insulation and maintenance work in industrial environments.
• Must be safety-conscious and willing to follow company and site safety requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Install and replace thermal and acoustic insulation on industrial piping, equipment, tanks, vessels, ducts, and other structures.
• Measure, cut, shape, and fit insulation materials according to equipment dimensions, drawings, and project specifications.
• Remove damaged, deteriorated, or defective insulation and prepare surfaces for replacement.
• Install insulation systems using appropriate fasteners, adhesives, bands, wire, jacketing, and protective materials.
• Apply insulation to hot and cold piping and equipment to help maintain operating temperatures and improve energy efficiency.
• Install protective jacketing and weatherproofing materials to protect insulation from moisture, corrosion, and physical damage.
• Inspect completed insulation work to ensure proper coverage, fitting, thickness, and finish.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair work on existing insulation systems.
• Identify damaged insulation, exposed piping, moisture intrusion, and other defects and carry out appropriate corrective work.
• Work closely with maintenance personnel, mechanical teams, engineers, and supervisors to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and orderly condition.
• Follow established health, safety, environmental, and industrial work procedures.
