SAIPEM / Osman Gazi Project is seeking an experienced Instrument Technician Supervisor (Hull) for an overseas employment opportunity in Turkey. The successful candidate will supervise instrumentation and control system maintenance activities within hull and marine project areas, ensuring reliable equipment performance, efficient team coordination, accurate reporting, and compliance with HSE requirements.

INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN SUPERVISOR (HULL)

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as an Instrument Technician Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of Instrumentation and Control Systems maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Proven experience supervising instrumentation maintenance teams.
• Experience with CMMS platforms, including SAP, Maximo, Unisup, Datastream, or similar systems.
• Strong understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to prepare accurate maintenance reports and documentation.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, offshore, marine, shipbuilding, or industrial environments is highly advantageous.
• Solid understanding of HSE regulations and safe working practices.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance of hull instrumentation and control systems.
• Lead Instrument Technicians in the inspection, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation equipment.
• Diagnose instrumentation and control system faults and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
• Monitor the condition and performance of instrumentation and control equipment.
• Ensure preventive maintenance activities are completed according to approved schedules.
• Coordinate troubleshooting and repair activities to minimize equipment downtime.
• Review maintenance requirements and assign tasks to Instrument Technicians based on priorities and operational needs.
• Ensure maintenance work is carried out according to approved procedures, technical specifications, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Use CMMS platforms such as SAP, Maximo, Unisup, and Datastream to manage work orders, maintenance records, and equipment history.
• Ensure accurate documentation of inspections, maintenance activities, faults, repairs, and equipment status.
• Prepare and submit maintenance reports and communicate work progress to engineers and project management.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, electrical, mechanical, and other maintenance teams.
• Support commissioning, shutdown, inspection, testing, and other project activities as required.
• Ensure tools, testing equipment, instruments, and work areas are maintained in safe and serviceable condition.
• Identify technical problems, equipment defects, and potential safety hazards and ensure corrective action is taken.
• Provide technical guidance and support to Instrument Technicians.
• Monitor team performance, productivity, and compliance with maintenance procedures.
• Promote effective communication and teamwork within the maintenance team.
• Ensure all activities comply with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and safe work practices.
• Participate in emergency response and critical maintenance activities when required.
