HVAC TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor’s/College Degree holder in Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water systems, HVAC tools, electrical controls, troubleshooting, and safe
• maintenance practices.
• Hands-on experience in the operation, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance of HVAC systems.
• Experience working with:
  • Chillers
  • Chilled water systems
  • Pumps
  • Cooling towers
  • Air Handling Units (AHUs)
  • Fan Coil Units (FCUs)
  • Valves
  • Electrical controls
  • Related HVAC equipment and systems
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC mechanical and electrical problems.
• Good understanding of HVAC maintenance procedures and equipment operation.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and technical skills.
• Must be physically fit and capable of performing HVAC maintenance work.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a maintenance environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain HVAC and air-conditioning systems and equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on chillers, pumps, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, valves, and related HVAC systems.
• Inspect HVAC equipment and identify signs of malfunction, wear, leakage, or other defects.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control-related HVAC problems.
• Check electrical controls and related components to ensure proper system operation.
• Perform routine inspection, cleaning, adjustment, servicing, and repair of HVAC equipment.
• Monitor chiller and HVAC system performance and report abnormal operating conditions.
• Inspect pumps, cooling towers, air-handling units, fan coil units, valves, and associated components.
• Troubleshoot refrigerant, water circulation, electrical control, and mechanical issues as applicable.
• Carry out corrective repairs and replace defective components when required.
• Use HVAC tools, testing equipment, and maintenance instruments safely and correctly.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and established maintenance procedures.
• Record maintenance activities, equipment conditions, repairs, and parts used.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other maintenance personnel regarding HVAC issues.
• Ensure all maintenance and repair activities are performed according to safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Perform other HVAC-related duties as assigned.
