Linc Facility Services is seeking a qualified and experienced HV Electrical Engineer to join its facilities maintenance team at Hamad International Airport in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of high-voltage electrical systems to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of critical airport facilities.
HV Electrical Engineer
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in high-voltage electrical facilities maintenance.
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within large commercial or industrial establishments.
- Experience must be in maintenance and not limited to construction projects.
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree, college degree, diploma, or certified vocational training in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage power distribution systems, electrical protection, and maintenance best practices.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, technical manuals, and engineering specifications.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, leadership, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, supervise, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance of high-voltage electrical systems and equipment.
- Monitor the performance of electrical distribution systems, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, protection relays, and associated equipment.
- Diagnose complex electrical faults and develop effective corrective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Review maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with operational and safety requirements.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with airport operations and multidisciplinary maintenance teams.
- Analyze system performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and energy efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, industry standards, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations.
- Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, risk assessments, and engineering documentation.
- Support testing, commissioning, upgrades, and modification projects for electrical infrastructure.
- Provide technical guidance and support to technicians and maintenance personnel.
