HT Winder

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of experience in HT motor manufacturing or maintenance industries.
• At least two (2) years of relevant working experience as an HT Winder.
• Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage insulation systems and winding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical diagrams.
• Skilled in the use of winding machines and testing equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Diagnose electrical faults and strip old windings from motors and equipment.
• Wind new coils using specialized machinery, ensuring compliance with insulation standards (5KV and above) and technical specifications.
• Disassemble and rewind coils for motors, alternators, and rotors using automatic winding machines or manual tools.
• Apply insulation techniques including Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) and corona suppression systems.
• Perform insulation testing (meg-ohm), core loss testing, and no-load testing to verify performance.
• Measure and record dimensions of mechanical parts (e.g., shafts, bearings) using precision tools such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality procedures at all times.
