SR. ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Vocational Diploma, Technical Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Electronics, or related technical field.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience as an Electrical Technician in industrial, commercial, or oil and gas environments.
• Strong experience in setting up, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and electronic systems.
• Hands-on experience working with High Voltage (480V) systems.
• Extensive knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) including installation, testing, troubleshooting, calibration, commissioning, and repair.
• Strong understanding of electrical circuitry, wiring systems, cable termination, and splicing techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment and control panels.
• Knowledge of industrial safety procedures and electrical standards.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical and electronic systems.
• Set up and calibrate equipment according to schematics, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Diagnose electrical faults and perform necessary repairs to restore system functionality.
• Conduct routine maintenance and service inspections on electrical equipment.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance requirements.
• Install, troubleshoot, commission, and maintain Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) units and control panels.
• Perform testing, calibration, and repair of damaged VFD systems.
• Work safely on high-voltage systems and electrical distribution equipment.
• Inspect electrical wiring, connections, and splicing to ensure reliability and compliance.
• Prepare maintenance reports, inspection records, and technical documentation.
• Support engineers and supervisors in maintenance and project activities.
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and industry standards.
