SR. ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN
Qualifications:
- Vocational Diploma, Technical Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Electronics, or related technical field.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience as an Electrical Technician in industrial, commercial, or oil and gas environments.
- Strong experience in setting up, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and electronic systems.
- Hands-on experience working with High Voltage (480V) systems.
- Extensive knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) including installation, testing, troubleshooting, calibration, commissioning, and repair.
- Strong understanding of electrical circuitry, wiring systems, cable termination, and splicing techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment and control panels.
- Knowledge of industrial safety procedures and electrical standards.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical and electronic systems.
- Set up and calibrate equipment according to schematics, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Diagnose electrical faults and perform necessary repairs to restore system functionality.
- Conduct routine maintenance and service inspections on electrical equipment.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance requirements.
- Install, troubleshoot, commission, and maintain Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) units and control panels.
- Perform testing, calibration, and repair of damaged VFD systems.
- Work safely on high-voltage systems and electrical distribution equipment.
- Inspect electrical wiring, connections, and splicing to ensure reliability and compliance.
- Prepare maintenance reports, inspection records, and technical documentation.
- Support engineers and supervisors in maintenance and project activities.
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and industry standards.
