HOSPITAL CLEANER

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in cleaning facilities, preferably in hospitals, clinics, or other healthcare environments.
• Good command of the English language, both spoken and written.
• Must be comfortable working in a hospital environment, including areas where exposure to blood and other medical situations may occur.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and infection control practices is an advantage.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual cleaning tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare support team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Must fully understand the duties and responsibilities of the position and be willing to perform all assigned tasks.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.

Responsibilities:

• Clean, sanitize, and disinfect hospital rooms, wards, operating areas, clinics, offices, corridors, restrooms, and other healthcare facilities.
• Dispose of waste, including medical and non-medical waste, in accordance with hospital infection control and safety procedures.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, medical equipment exteriors, furniture, and fixtures using approved cleaning agents.
• Replenish cleaning supplies, toiletries, and hygiene materials in assigned areas.
• Follow hospital infection prevention, hygiene, and sanitation protocols at all times.
• Safely handle cleaning chemicals, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged equipment to the appropriate department.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas throughout each shift.
• Adhere to hospital policies, workplace safety regulations, and confidentiality requirements.
• Perform other housekeeping and sanitation duties as assigned by the supervisor.
