HEAD CAPTAIN WAITER

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience is required.
• Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Food and Beverage Preparation/Service Management or a related field.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Must have a valid TESDA NC II.
• Proven experience in restaurant, hotel, food and beverage, or similar service operations.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service procedures and customer service standards.
• Ability to take accurate orders and operate or work with POS systems.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and coordinating with kitchen and service staff.
• Strong attention to detail in order taking, food presentation, billing, and payment handling.
• Ability to handle customer concerns and resolve service issues professionally.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy restaurant service periods.
• Leadership and teamwork skills with the ability to support and coordinate other service staff.
• Knowledge of proper table setting, clearing, cleaning, and resetting procedures.
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
• Professional appearance, positive attitude, and customer-focused approach.
• Reliable, hardworking, responsible, and able to work effectively as part of a restaurant team.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly, assist with seating, present menus, and provide recommendations when appropriate.
  Answer guest questions regarding menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and available beverages.
  Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them correctly into the POS system.
  Communicate customer orders and special requests clearly to kitchen and bar staff.
  Coordinate with service and kitchen teams to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
  Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally according to established service standards.
  Check food presentation and ensure orders are complete and correctly served.
  Refill beverages and attend to guests’ additional service requirements.
  Monitor assigned tables and regularly check on guests to ensure satisfaction.
  Handle customer concerns and complaints professionally and coordinate appropriate solutions.
  Prepare customer bills accurately and process cash and card payments.
  Handle change and payment transactions responsibly and accurately.
  Clear used plates, glasses, utensils, and other items from tables.
  Clean and reset tables promptly after guests leave.
  Ensure dining areas, service stations, and assigned sections remain clean, organized, and presentable.
  Coordinate table assignments and service activities with other waitstaff and restaurant personnel.
  Assist in guiding and supporting other waiters and service staff to maintain efficient operations.
  Monitor service quality and ensure restaurant standards are consistently followed.
  Communicate customer feedback, special requests, and service issues to supervisors or management.
  Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
  Maintain professional appearance, proper grooming, and courteous behavior when dealing with guests.
  Support smooth restaurant operations during busy service periods.
  Perform other food and beverage service duties as assigned by management.
