We are seeking an experienced and qualified Mechanical Technician to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery in an industrial environment. The successful candidate will perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of mechanical systems while complying with company standards and safety regulations.

MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Must hold a Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial or construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and industrial machinery.
• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical faults efficiently.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with the safe use of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical testing equipment.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and capable of working in industrial environments while adhering to workplace safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, motors, compressors, valves, gearboxes, conveyors, piping systems, and other mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.
• Monitor equipment performance and conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues.
• Replace worn or defective mechanical components to ensure equipment reliability.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and service documentation.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel and supervisors to complete scheduled maintenance activities.
• Perform other mechanical maintenance duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Project Engineer.
