We are seeking an experienced and qualified Civil Technician to support the inspection, maintenance, and repair of roads, bridges, and building infrastructure. The successful candidate will assist in site supervision, monitor construction and maintenance activities, ensure compliance with engineering standards, and contribute to the successful completion of civil works projects.

CIVIL TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Candidates must hold a Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the maintenance of roads, bridges, and buildings.
• Must provide a valid Certificate of Employment or Experience Certificate verifying relevant work experience.
• Must provide academic credentials supporting the required qualifications.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, maintenance practices, and engineering standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Familiarity with construction materials, surveying methods, and quality control procedures.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and willing to work on construction and maintenance project sites.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections and assessments of roads, bridges, buildings, and other civil infrastructure.
• Assist engineers in the planning, execution, and monitoring of construction and maintenance projects.
• Perform site measurements, surveys, and quality inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Monitor maintenance and repair works, ensuring adherence to engineering standards and safety regulations.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, construction plans, and technical specifications.
• Prepare site reports, maintenance records, and progress documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, supervisors, and project teams to ensure timely completion of assigned works.
• Ensure proper use of construction materials, equipment, and resources.
• Follow workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
• Perform other technical duties assigned by the Civil Engineer or Project Manager.
