Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in a relevant trade or similar field.
- Strong practical knowledge of carpentry and joinery techniques, materials, and tools.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, building plans, and construction specifications.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
- Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial construction is preferred.
- Willing to take IELTS or PTE and obtain the minimum required score.
- Previous international work experience in Europe, New Zealand, Australia, or Canada is preferred.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual construction work.
- Good understanding of construction safety practices.
- Able to follow technical instructions and workplace procedures.
- Reliable, hardworking, responsible, and safety-conscious.
- Able to work independently and as part of a construction team.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in reading and interpreting building plans, technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Determine material requirements, dimensions, measurements, and installation procedures based on project plans.
- Measure, mark, cut, shape, and prepare timber, plywood, wallboard, and other construction materials.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery as required.
- Assist carpenters and construction workers with framing, assembly, installation, and repair activities.
- Construct, assemble, and install frameworks, partitions, flooring systems, roof framing, doors, windows, and wall cladding.
- Assist in erecting and repairing structures and fixtures for residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects.
- Construct concrete formwork and temporary structures when required.
- Assist with setting out and positioning structural components according to drawings and measurements.
- Prepare work areas, materials, tools, and equipment before construction activities.
- Assist with loading, unloading, moving, and positioning construction materials and equipment.
- Inspect materials and completed work for accuracy, proper installation, and quality.
- Perform repairs, adjustments, and finishing work as directed by supervisors or qualified tradespeople.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
- Follow construction schedules, work instructions, and project requirements.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable health and safety requirements, building codes, and company standards.
- Follow proper workplace safety procedures when using tools, machinery, scaffolding, and construction materials.
- Work cooperatively with carpenters, builders, contractors, supervisors, and other construction workers.
- Perform other reasonable construction and carpentry support duties as assigned.
