ENGLISH TEACHER

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience is required.
• Candidates must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Education, Teaching, Training, or a similar field.
• Preferably with 2–5 years of experience in English language teaching.
• Experience teaching reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation is preferred.
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Good classroom management and student engagement skills.
• Able to prepare effective lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Patient, responsible, organized, and professional.
• Able to assess students’ academic performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Creative and adaptable in developing classroom activities.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively with other teachers and school staff.
• Willing to adapt to the educational environment, teaching methods, and workplace practices in Japan.

Responsibilities:

• Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and classroom activities based on students’ learning needs and curriculum requirements.
• Teach English language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
• Deliver engaging and effective English lessons appropriate to students’ language proficiency levels.
• Prepare exercises, activities, presentations, and learning materials to reinforce English language concepts.
• Assess and evaluate students’ academic performance through quizzes, examinations, assignments, projects, and classroom activities.
• Monitor students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to help improve their English language proficiency.
• Identify students’ strengths and areas requiring improvement and provide appropriate learning support.
• Encourage students to participate actively in classroom discussions, presentations, role-playing exercises, and group activities.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages students to communicate in English.
• Provide additional guidance or assistance to students who require support in developing their language skills.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, grades, and progress.
• Communicate with colleagues and relevant school personnel regarding students’ learning progress when necessary.
• Adapt teaching strategies and classroom activities to accommodate different learning abilities and needs.
• Follow school policies, curriculum guidelines, teaching standards, and administrative procedures.
• Participate in school activities, meetings, training sessions, and other educational programs as assigned.
