GRINDERMAN

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in workshop manufacturing and metal fabrication.
  • Candidates must possess a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in Engineering (Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die/Welding) or a related field.
  • Male applicants are preferred for this role.
  • Proven experience in the manufacturing of pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, and piping systems.
  • Strong experience in grinding, finishing, surface preparation, and metal fabrication.
  • Ability to use grinding equipment, power tools, and measuring instruments safely and effectively.
  • Knowledge of fabrication drawings, workshop procedures, and quality standards is an advantage.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
  • Physically fit and able to work in a fabrication workshop environment.
  • Good communication skills and sound knowledge of workplace safety practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform grinding, deburring, beveling, polishing, and finishing of fabricated metal components.
  • Prepare weld joints and metal surfaces for fabrication, welding, inspection, or painting.
  • Grind and finish pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, and piping components according to engineering specifications.
  • Operate angle grinders, bench grinders, pneumatic grinders, and other finishing tools safely and efficiently.
  • Remove welding slag, burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from fabricated products.
  • Inspect finished work to ensure compliance with quality standards and dimensional requirements.
  • Read and interpret fabrication drawings and work instructions as required.
  • Assist fabrication and welding teams during manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain grinding tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe operating condition.
  • Follow company safety procedures and workshop regulations at all times.
