Automation Technician (Manufacturing Worker)

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in troubleshooting industrial automation control systems.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience is required.
• Must hold a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in a relevant technical field or similar qualification.
• Ability to read and understand PLC, PAC, and HMI machine programs.
• Experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC), Programmable Automation Controls (PAC), and Human-Machine Interface (HMI).
• Hands-on experience with Servo Motor Controls, LAN, VFD, and electro-pneumatic systems.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance on industrial machinery and automation equipment.
• Ability to interpret Electrical, Pneumatic, and Piping Instrument Diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical and automation systems.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley controls is an advantage.
• Ability to diagnose equipment faults accurately and perform appropriate repairs.
• Good understanding of machine safety and industrial maintenance procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work systematically.
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a maintenance team.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, responsible, safety-conscious, and willing to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Read, understand, and troubleshoot PLC, PAC, and HMI machine programs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing machines and industrial automation equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults in industrial automation control systems.
• Troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC), and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI).
• Troubleshoot and maintain servo motor control systems, variable frequency drives (VFDs), LAN systems, and electro-pneumatic equipment.
• Interpret and work with electrical, pneumatic, and piping instrument diagrams.
• Inspect control panels, sensors, actuators, motors, wiring, and other automation components.
• Identify electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and control-system faults and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Perform equipment testing after maintenance or repairs to ensure proper and safe operation.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance according to established procedures and maintenance schedules.
• Assist in diagnosing recurring machine failures and recommend corrective measures.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment faults, repairs, and replaced components.
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.
• Follow manufacturer specifications, technical procedures, and company maintenance standards.
• Ensure all maintenance and troubleshooting activities comply with workplace safety requirements.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Support continuous improvement activities aimed at increasing equipment reliability and production efficiency.
• Perform other automation, electrical, maintenance, and manufacturing-related duties assigned by management.
