FRUIT CARVER
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience as a Fruit Carver or similar culinary artistic role.
- Bachelor’s / College Degree in Others or related fields.
- Strong artistic and creative skills with attention to detail and precision.
- Experience in decorative fruit and vegetable carving for hotels, restaurants, banquets, or events.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet event deadlines.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Create artistic and intricate carvings from fruits and vegetables such as melons, pineapples, papayas, watermelons, and other produce.
- Design themed decorative displays for buffets, banquets, weddings, corporate functions, and special events.
- Use specialized carving tools safely and effectively to produce detailed food sculptures and centerpieces.
- Prepare and arrange carved fruits and vegetables to enhance food presentation and visual appeal.
- Maintain freshness and quality of fruits and vegetables during preparation and display.
- Ensure all carving and food handling activities comply with HACCP and food safety standards.
- Coordinate with chefs, banquet teams, and event organizers regarding display concepts and presentation requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper sanitation of workstations, tools, and storage areas.
- Monitor inventory of fruits, vegetables, and carving supplies needed for events and daily operations.
- Stay updated on modern fruit carving techniques and presentation trends.
