AIS Global Group is seeking a qualified Wood Machinist to operate woodworking machinery, manufacture custom timber products, and process solid hardwood materials according to technical drawings, production specifications, and quality standards.

WOOD MACHINIST

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of working experience as a Wood Machinist.
• Must be a graduate of a four-year undergraduate course.
• Certificate of Employment (COE) must clearly indicate the position of Wood Machinist.
• Proven experience working with solid hardwood timber, not limited to MDF, plywood, or softwood materials.
• Background in custom or made-to-order production, including joinery, cabinetry, furniture manufacturing, or millwork.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, and cutting lists.
• Knowledge of woodworking machinery, tools, and timber processing techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Operate woodworking machinery and equipment to cut, shape, and prepare timber components.
• Process solid hardwood timber according to production requirements and specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, cutting lists, and manufacturing instructions.
• Manufacture custom-made timber products, cabinetry, furniture components, and joinery items.
• Measure, mark, and prepare materials for machining and assembly.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality throughout the production process.
• Perform machine setup, adjustments, and routine maintenance checks.
• Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain safe operation of machinery and follow workplace safety procedures.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with workshop standards.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely completion of projects.
