CAS Recruitment Ltd – Greek Branch is seeking qualified and experienced Assembly Technicians / Mechanical Assemblers for an overseas employment opportunity in Greece.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and performing basic repairs on mechanical equipment and components. The role requires practical experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and basic mechanical fitting techniques.
ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN / MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using hand and power tools, equipment assembly, maintenance, or repair work.
- Proficient in operating common hand and power tools, including:
- Drills
- Grinders
- Impact tools
- Wrenches
- Saws
- Other mechanical workshop tools
- Experience in equipment assembly, installation, troubleshooting, and basic repairs.
- Ability to read and understand basic technical drawings, equipment manuals, and work instructions.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures.
- Knowledge of safe tool-handling practices.
- Familiarity with measuring tools and basic mechanical fitting.
- Good understanding of mechanical assembly and component installation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on mechanical work.
- Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to work overtime, shifts, and project-based assignments when required.
- English communication skills are a must.
- At least a High School graduate.
- Must have a newly renewed passport.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical equipment, machinery, components, and subassemblies according to technical specifications.
- Use common hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, impact tools, wrenches, saws, and other workshop equipment.
- Read and follow basic technical drawings, manuals, assembly instructions, and work procedures.
- Install mechanical components and equipment according to approved instructions.
- Perform basic mechanical fitting, adjustment, alignment, and installation tasks.
- Measure components using appropriate measuring tools to ensure correct dimensions and fit.
- Inspect assembled equipment and components for proper installation and functionality.
- Perform basic troubleshooting when equipment or assembled components do not operate correctly.
- Carry out basic repairs and adjustments as required.
- Assist with equipment installation and commissioning activities.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Identify worn, damaged, loose, or defective components and report them to the supervisor.
- Maintain hand tools, power tools, equipment, and workstations in good working condition.
- Follow proper procedures for safe handling and operation of tools and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow company health and safety regulations and use appropriate PPE.
- Coordinate with mechanics, technicians, engineers, supervisors, and other team members.
- Work overtime, shifts, and project-based assignments when required.
- Perform other assembly and mechanical duties assigned by management.
Salary Package:
- Salary starts at € 1,000 gross monthly.
- Forty-two (40) working hours / Five (5) days a week.
- Accommodation will be provided.
- Contract duration is for 1 year.
