Fahren Higashigifu Co. Ltd. is seeking qualified and experienced Automotive Mechanics under the Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) program to work in Japan. The successful candidates will perform automobile inspection, repair, maintenance, servicing, troubleshooting, and related workshop duties. Candidates should have previous experience in automobile repair and maintenance and meet the applicable SSW or Japanese language requirements.

AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC (SSW)

Qualifications:

• Male applicants.
• At least High School Graduate.
• Former Technical Intern Trainee who has completed the 3-year training program, and/or applicants who have passed the Prometric exam, and/or JLPT N4 Passers.
• Former Technical Intern Trainee with relevant experience in automobile repair and maintenance work.
• Practical knowledge of automobile inspection, servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Ability to safely use automotive tools, equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
• Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on automotive repair and maintenance work.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety.
• Responsible, hardworking, reliable, and willing to follow company rules and Japanese workplace procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repair of automobiles.
• Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and other technical problems.
• Diagnose vehicle faults using appropriate tools, equipment, and diagnostic procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing according to manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect and service engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, cooling, and other vehicle systems.
• Perform oil changes, filter replacement, lubrication, adjustments, and other routine maintenance tasks.
• Remove, repair, replace, and reinstall defective or worn vehicle components.
• Use automotive hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and workshop machinery safely and correctly.
• Conduct functional checks and testing after repairs to ensure vehicles are operating properly.
• Identify abnormal vehicle conditions and report major repair requirements to supervisors.
• Follow technical manuals, repair procedures, specifications, and workplace instructions.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
• Properly handle automotive parts, lubricants, oils, chemicals, tools, and workshop equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe automotive workshop.
• Follow Japanese workplace safety rules, company policies, and environmental procedures.
• Coordinate with other mechanics, technicians, supervisors, and workshop personnel.
• Assist with other automotive servicing and repair tasks as assigned.
• Continuously develop technical skills and adapt to Japanese automotive workplace practices.
