Saudi Arabian Kentz Co. Ltd. is seeking a qualified Pipe Welding Maintenance Inspecting Supervisor (QC Welding/NDT) to oversee welding quality control activities, conduct inspections, evaluate NDT results, ensure compliance with international codes and standards, and maintain quality assurance documentation for industrial projects.
PIPE WELDING MAINTENANCE INSPECTING SUPERVISOR (QC WELDING/NDT)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience in QC Welding Inspection, NDT Inspection, or Welding Supervision.
- Must be at least a high school graduate.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Experience in oil & gas, refineries, energy, utilities, petrochemical, or industrial construction projects is a strong advantage.
- Overseas experience is preferred, but local experience is accepted.
- Must provide valid proof of experience such as COE, employment certificates, project records, or equivalent documents.
- Physically fit and ready for deployment requirements.
- Strong knowledge of welding procedures, inspection techniques, and NDT methods.
- Familiarity with international codes and standards such as ASME, AWS, API, and related quality requirements.
- Experience preparing quality documentation, NCRs, inspection reports, and project dossiers.
Responsibilities:
- Verify that base materials, filler metals, welding consumables, and procedures comply with project specifications before welding activities begin.
- Inspect joint fit-up, bevel angles, alignment, root openings, and welding preparations prior to execution.
- Monitor welding parameters including preheat temperature, interpass temperature, amperage, voltage, and welding procedures during operations.
- Conduct visual inspections (VT) of completed welds to identify defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut, and incomplete fusion.
- Witness and monitor Post-Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT), hydrostatic testing, and pneumatic testing activities.
- Review, interpret, and evaluate radiographic films and NDT results according to project requirements and applicable standards.
- Ensure welding and inspection activities comply with ASME, AWS, API, and client specifications.
- Prepare and compile inspection reports, quality dossiers, welding records, and NDT documentation packages.
- Document non-conformance reports (NCRs), monitor corrective actions, and verify close-out activities.
- Coordinate with welding teams, NDT personnel, third-party inspectors, and client representatives.
- Maintain quality assurance records and secure required approvals and sign-offs.
- Support audits, project quality reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
