ELECTRICIAN/ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

  • Male applicants are preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in the same field.
  • Broad experience in various electrical fields, including electrical installation, wiring, and maintenance.
  • Graduate of a vocational course, TESDA training, or equivalent electrical training; applicants with an Employment Certificate in the same field may also be considered.
  • Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Electrical or a related field.
  • Practical knowledge of electrical installation, wiring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions.
  • Familiarity with electrical tools, testing equipment, wiring materials, and electrical components.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of proper electrical safety procedures and safe working practices.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on electrical work.
  • Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical installation, wiring, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Install and connect electrical wiring, cables, switches, outlets, fixtures, and related components.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical instructions.
  • Conduct routine inspection and preventive maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical faults and identify the causes of equipment or system failures.
  • Perform corrective repairs and replace defective electrical components as required.
  • Test electrical circuits, connections, equipment, and installations to ensure proper operation.
  • Use electrical testing instruments and hand tools safely and correctly.
  • Install and maintain lighting systems, power distribution components, and electrical fixtures.
  • Perform cable routing, termination, connection, and proper identification of electrical wiring.
  • Check electrical connections and wiring for loose connections, damage, overheating, or other potential hazards.
  • Assist with the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment and machinery.
  • Ensure electrical installations comply with established safety procedures and technical standards.
  • Follow proper lockout/tagout and electrical safety procedures when required.
  • Maintain electrical tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
  • Report major electrical problems, equipment defects, and safety hazards to supervisors.
  • Maintain records of completed maintenance, repairs, inspections, and other electrical activities when required.
  • Coordinate with other technicians and workers to complete electrical installation and maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Respond to urgent electrical breakdowns and perform necessary troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Minimize equipment downtime through timely inspection, maintenance, and corrective action.
  • Follow company policies, workplace safety regulations, and instructions from supervisors.
  • Perform other electrical and maintenance duties assigned by management.
