CAS Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Cook C with strong Asian and international culinary experience to join a professional kitchen team in Cyprus. The successful candidate will be responsible for ingredient preparation and cooking in both hot and cold sections, maintaining food quality and presentation, following recipes and food safety procedures, and supporting smooth kitchen operations in an international and multicultural environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of proven Asian and international culinary experience as a Cook C or in a closely related cooking position.
• International kitchen experience in international and multicultural work environments is preferred.
• Ability to adapt to diverse culinary styles, cuisines, preparation methods, and kitchen practices.
• Strong understanding of cooking techniques and food preparation.
• Competent in preparing ingredients and cooking dishes in both Hot and Cold sections according to restaurant standards.
• Ability to follow recipes precisely and consistently to maintain food quality and standardized taste.
• Strong commitment to high-quality food presentation, flavor, portion control, and overall dining standards.
• Effective customer service skills and professional approach when dealing with customer concerns.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, efficiency, discipline, and dedication to delivering exceptional food.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to contribute to a positive kitchen environment.
• Good knowledge of ingredient freshness, proper food storage, stock rotation, and waste reduction.
• Keen attention to cooking times, temperatures, food quality, and presentation.
• HACCP Certified with strong knowledge of Food Safety Management and Waste Management.
• Knowledge of applicable environmental, health, hygiene, and food safety regulations.
• Ability to assist the Kitchen Team in operating the kitchen smoothly and efficiently.
• Ability to handle customer complaints professionally when required.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Must have a newly renewed passport.
• Physically fit, hardworking, adaptable, and capable of working in a fast-paced professional kitchen.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of Asian and international dishes according to restaurant recipes and established standards.
• Perform ingredient preparation and cooking duties in both the Hot and Cold sections.
• Prepare vegetables, meat, seafood, sauces, garnishes, and other ingredients required for daily kitchen operations.
• Follow recipes, preparation methods, portion specifications, and cooking procedures precisely to ensure consistency and quality.
• Apply appropriate cooking techniques to achieve the required flavor, texture, appearance, and presentation.
• Monitor cooking times and maintain correct cooking temperatures for all assigned dishes.
• Inspect ingredients for freshness, quality, and suitability before use.
• Ensure finished food products are fresh, properly prepared, and presented according to restaurant standards.
• Rotate food stock using proper FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
• Monitor ingredient usage and help control food waste through proper preparation, storage, and portioning.
• Maintain high standards of food presentation, flavor, portion control, and overall product quality.
• Report any food quality issues, damaged ingredients, shortages, or other concerns to the supervisor promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workstation throughout food preparation and service.
• Clean and sanitize cooking equipment, utensils, preparation surfaces, and assigned kitchen areas.
• Follow HACCP, food safety, hygiene, waste management, environmental, and health regulations at all times.
• Handle and store food ingredients safely according to established food safety procedures.
• Assist the Kitchen Team in maintaining smooth and efficient daily kitchen operations.
• Coordinate effectively with chefs, cooks, kitchen helpers, and other staff members during preparation and service.
• Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining accuracy, food quality, and cleanliness.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability when preparing different cuisines, dishes, and culinary styles.
• Assist in maintaining adequate mise en place before and during service.
• Respond professionally to customer concerns or complaints when required and coordinate with supervisors to resolve issues.
• Follow company policies, kitchen procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Perform other cooking and kitchen-related duties assigned by management.

Salary and Benefits:

• Salary starts at Php 55,000.00 gross monthly, more or less.
• Forty-eight (48) Work Hours per week. Six (6) working days in a 7-day schedule.
• Accommodation will be provided.
• Two (2) years contract, renewable.
