Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Cook, Chef, or in a similar food preparation role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen operations.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
  • Ability to prepare meals efficiently while maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Good organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Honest, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to approved recipes, menus, and company standards.
  • Plan and organize daily food preparation to ensure timely meal service.
  • Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, marinating, and measuring as required.
  • Ensure food is cooked, portioned, and presented according to quality and presentation standards.
  • Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper storage to prevent spoilage and minimize waste.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, food preparation areas, utensils, and cooking equipment.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards during food preparation and storage.
  • Monitor inventory of food supplies and report shortages or replenishment needs.
  • Properly store leftovers and rotate stock using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and perform basic cleaning and maintenance after use.
  • Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations during meal service.
  • Perform other kitchen-related duties assigned by the Head Chef or management.
