Tolu Minerals Limited is seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to supervise construction activities and coordinate site personnel, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to approved plans and specifications.
Construction Foreman
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Foreman, Leading Hand, Site Supervisor
- Trade-qualified Carpenter or Builder highly preferred.
- Proven experience supervising construction projects.
- Experience with commercial, industrial, institutional, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, procedures, and site operations.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to organize manpower, materials, tools, and equipment effectively.
- Strong understanding of construction quality and safety requirements.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on site.
- Lead construction workers, tradespeople, subcontractors, and site personnel.
- Allocate tasks and monitor work progress to ensure project schedules are met.
- Ensure construction activities are performed according to approved plans, drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Monitor workmanship and identify construction issues requiring corrective action.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other site personnel.
- Monitor the use of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure materials and equipment are available when required.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor daily work progress.
- Enforce workplace health and safety procedures on the construction site.
- Identify potential site hazards and ensure appropriate controls are implemented.
- Maintain good housekeeping and safe working conditions.
- Provide daily updates and reports on construction progress.
- Assist with resolving technical and operational issues on site.
- Ensure workers follow established construction procedures and instructions.
- Support the timely and efficient completion of construction projects.
