Home Bakery is seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Cashier and Packaging Staff member to handle customer transactions, order processing, and food packaging operations. The successful candidate will ensure excellent customer service, accurate order preparation, proper packaging, and smooth coordination between front-of-house and kitchen teams.

CASHIER AND PACKAGING

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of working experience in cashiering, food service, hospitality, or a related field.
• No minimum educational attainment required.
• Female applicants are preferred for this role.
• Experience in operating cash registers, managing cash drawers, and processing payments.
• Basic arithmetic skills and ability to provide accurate change.
• Ability to learn and operate:
  • POS systems
  • Credit card terminals
  • Digital ordering tablets
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order matching and packaging standards.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting food supply items and working in a high-temperature environment.
• Reliable, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced food service setting.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and provide professional and friendly service.
• Answer menu inquiries, provide recommendations, and assist customers with dine-in, takeout, and delivery orders.
• Accurately process customer orders and ensure all requests are properly recorded.
• Operate the POS system and process payments, including:
  • Cash transactions
  • Credit card payments
  • Digital wallet payments
• Calculate correct change and reconcile the cash drawer at the end of each shift.
• Pack food items neatly, securely, and in appropriate containers.
• Verify order tickets to ensure all items are complete, including utensils, condiments, napkins, and special requests.
• Check food quality, presentation, and temperature standards before packaging.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff and expediters to ensure smooth order flow.
• Handle special dietary requests and communicate customer requirements accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier and packaging area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the employer.
