We are seeking skilled and experienced Blaster Painters to join Zamil Shipyards in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidates will be responsible for surface preparation and protective coating of metal structures and vessels to ensure corrosion protection and compliance with shipyard standards.

Blaster Painter

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a Blaster Painter in shipyard, marine, offshore, or heavy industrial environment
• Knowledge of surface preparation methods such as sandblasting, grit blasting, and abrasive blasting
• Experience in applying industrial coatings, primers, and marine paints
• Ability to read and follow technical specifications and painting procedures
• Familiarity with coating thickness standards and inspection requirements
• Physically fit and capable of working in dusty, noisy, and outdoor environments
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to blasting and painting operations
• Good teamwork, discipline, and attention to detail
• Willing to work in shifting schedules and challenging conditions

Responsibilities:

• Perform surface preparation of metal structures using blasting techniques
• Clean, remove rust, old paint, and contaminants from ship and steel surfaces
• Apply protective coatings, primers, and paint systems according to specifications
• Ensure correct paint thickness and quality standards are achieved
• Operate blasting and painting equipment safely and efficiently
• Inspect surfaces before and after blasting/painting to ensure quality compliance
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in proper condition
• Follow strict shipyard safety procedures and environmental regulations
• Assist in maintenance and repair of painted surfaces as required
• Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to meet project requirements

• Graduate of any four (4) year course or College Level
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
