Barista

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience as a Barista or in a similar beverage service role.
• Candidates must possess a Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in Food and Beverage Preparation/Service Management or a related field.
• Must have experience in the same field or hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, espresso equipment operation, and beverage presentation.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and customer service procedures.
• Good communication skills, positive attitude, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.

Responsibilities:

• Grind and brew coffee beans, steam milk, and prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Prepare espresso-based drinks, specialty beverages, and other menu items while maintaining consistency in taste and quality.
• Welcome customers warmly, take accurate orders, process digital POS payments, and provide recommendations based on customer preferences.
• Assist customers with menu selections, beverage customization, and dietary requirements when needed.
• Educate customers about coffee varieties, roasts, origins, brewing methods such as pour-over and espresso, and available retail products.
• Maintain cleanliness of countertops, service areas, utensils, and beverage preparation stations.
• Clean and maintain espresso machines, coffee equipment, and tools according to hygiene and maintenance procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking coffee supplies, cups, syrups, pastries, and other beverage ingredients.
• Ensure proper storage and organization of supplies to support smooth daily operations.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards at all times.
