Baker

Qualifications:

• Must hold a Diploma from a recognized Restaurant School or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a bakery or commercial food production environment.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, dough preparation, pastry production, and dessert preparation.
• Experience operating commercial bakery equipment and maintaining production quality standards.
• Thorough understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
• Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet production deadlines.
• Willing to be assigned to Greater Micronesia, including the Marshall Islands and Palau Islands.
• Willing to sign a two (2)-year employment contract.
• Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, mix, and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, rolls, and other baked goods according to standardized recipes.
• Measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients accurately to ensure product consistency and quality.
• Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and dough sheeters safely and efficiently.
• Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product quality throughout the production process.
• Decorate and finish baked products as required while maintaining presentation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery, equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations at all times.
• Monitor inventory of baking ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages when necessary.
• Minimize product waste through proper stock rotation, storage, and portion control.
• Coordinate with kitchen and management teams to ensure timely production and customer satisfaction.
