Baggage Handling System (BHS TECHNICIAN)

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering (or related technical field).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of automated systems, preferably in airport baggage handling systems or similar conveyor/automation equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and control systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays in airport environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the operation, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of airport baggage handling systems to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient baggage flow.
  • Respond quickly to system alarms, stoppages, or malfunctions to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor the performance of conveyors, scanners, sorters, and other BHS equipment.
  • Ensure baggage flow is uninterrupted and meets operational standards.
  • Follow airport safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with aviation security standards.
  • Maintain a safe working environment around high-speed conveyors and electrical systems.
  • Technical expertise in automated systems.
  • Quick response and decision-making under pressure.
