AUTO MECHANIC

Qualifications:

• Male applicants only.
• Age: 25 to 40 years old.
• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience as an Auto Mechanic or in automotive repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of automobile mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and cooling systems.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical faults and perform appropriate repairs.
• Familiarity with automotive hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on automotive repair and maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced automotive workshop.
• Good teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Responsible, hardworking, reliable, and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspection, maintenance, servicing, and repair of automobiles.
• Diagnose mechanical problems using appropriate tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic procedures.
• Inspect engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, cooling, and other vehicle systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing according to established procedures.
• Conduct oil changes, filter replacement, lubrication, adjustments, and other routine maintenance tasks.
• Repair, replace, and reinstall worn, damaged, or defective mechanical components.
• Inspect and service braking systems, including brake pads, discs, drums, and related components.
• Inspect and repair steering and suspension systems to ensure safe vehicle handling.
• Check cooling systems, radiators, hoses, belts, and related components for defects or leaks.
• Troubleshoot engine performance problems and identify the causes of mechanical faults.
• Perform engine tune-ups and other mechanical adjustments as required.
• Inspect and service transmission and drivetrain components.
• Use hand tools, power tools, lifting equipment, and automotive workshop machinery safely and correctly.
• Conduct road tests or post-repair testing when required to verify proper vehicle operation.
• Identify major repair requirements and report findings to supervisors.
• Follow repair manuals, technical specifications, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, maintenance, parts, and service activities.
• Keep the automotive workshop, tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
• Handle automotive parts, lubricants, oils, and other workshop materials properly.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and company policies at all times.
• Coordinate with auto electricians, technicians, supervisors, and other workshop personnel.
• Perform other automotive repair and maintenance duties assigned by management.
