ASSISTANT BUTCHER
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience
- At least High School Graduate
- Experience in meat handling, food preparation, or butcher shop operations is an advantage
- Slaughtering Operations (Swine) NC II or related TESDA certification is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices
- Ability to work in a cold storage or food processing environment
- Physically fit and capable of lifting and handling meat products
Responsibilities:
- Assist the butcher in cutting, trimming, and preparing meat products for sale or distribution.
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain work areas, equipment, tools, and cutting surfaces.
- Package, weigh, and label meat products accurately according to company standards.
- Assist in stocking displays, storage areas, and inventory management activities.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of meat products to maintain freshness and quality.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Dispose of waste materials properly and maintain a clean work environment.
- Support receiving and organizing meat deliveries and supplies.
- Assist in monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or product concerns.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors.
