AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE LEAD PLANNER
Qualifications:
- Male applicants preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Airline Transport, Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance planning, airline maintenance operations, or MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul)
- Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance programs, scheduled checks, Airworthiness Directives (ADs), and Service Bulletins (SBs)
- Experience in fleet maintenance planning and maintenance scheduling
- Deep understanding of aircraft technical manuals, engineering drawings, and maintenance documentation
- Proficiency in CMMS, MRP, ERP, or aviation maintenance planning software
- Knowledge of aviation regulations and compliance requirements (FAA, EASA, CAAP, or equivalent)
- Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience coordinating with engineering, maintenance, supply chain, and flight operations teams
Responsibilities:
- Develop and issue detailed maintenance work packages for line and base maintenance activities
- Plan scheduled maintenance checks, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and modification programs
- Forecast short-term and long-term maintenance requirements based on fleet utilization and flight schedules
- Coordinate aircraft maintenance schedules to minimize operational disruptions and maximize fleet availability
- Lead and support maintenance planning activities while providing guidance to junior planners
- Coordinate manpower, spare parts, specialized tooling, and maintenance resources
- Monitor maintenance compliance with company maintenance programs and aviation regulations
- Support maintenance controllers in managing deferred defects, recurring defects, and Minimum Equipment List (MEL) items
- Review maintenance records and ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities
- Act on behalf of the Maintenance Planning Supervisor or Manager when required
- Generate maintenance planning reports and recommend process improvements
