SUPPORT WORKER (RESIDENTIAL / CLEANER / HOUSEKEEPER)
Qualifications:
- Applicants with no work experience are welcome to apply.
- Must be a graduate of a four-year undergraduate course.
- Female applicants are preferred.
- Possession of a Housekeeping Certificate is preferred.
- Previous work experience in hotel housekeeping or a similar role is an advantage.
- Knowledge of basic housekeeping procedures, sanitation practices, and safe use of cleaning equipment is desirable.
- Physically fit and capable of performing routine cleaning and housekeeping tasks.
- Honest, dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain assigned residential areas, offices, or facilities to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors, carpets, and other surfaces.
- Dust, wipe, and disinfect furniture, fixtures, windows, doors, and frequently touched surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, dining areas, and common spaces.
- Empty trash bins, segregate waste properly, and dispose of garbage according to established procedures.
- Replenish cleaning materials, toiletries, and housekeeping supplies as needed.
- Change bed linens, make beds, and organize living spaces where required.
- Conduct routine inspections of assigned areas and report maintenance or repair issues to supervisors.
- Follow health, safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures at all times.
- Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly.
- Perform specialized cleaning tasks when assigned by supervisors.
- Maintain cleaning tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Provide courteous and professional service while respecting residents’ privacy and confidentiality.
- Perform other housekeeping and support duties assigned by management.
