Peloton Workready is seeking experienced Toolmakers specialized in plastic injection molding to support high-volume manufacturing operations. The role involves designing, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing precision tools and molds to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and high-quality output.

Toolmaker / Plastic Injection Tool Maker

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a Plastic Injection Toolmaker in high-volume manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of tool and die making, precision machining, and plastic injection mold fabrication.
  • Proficient in CNC and manual machine operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD designs.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Skilled in precision measurement and inspection.

Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture, maintain, repair, and fit plastic injection molds.
  • Design and make custom tools to hold or guide parts during manufacturing or assembly.
  • Program, set up, and operate manual and CNC machines (e.g., milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, EDM wire & sinker).
    Work with CNC programming systems such as Haas and Fanuc.
  • Interpret blueprints, CAD, and SolidWorks designs to create precision tools.
  • Conduct precision measurement and inspection using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Sharpen, adjust, or rebuild tools to maintain accuracy and extend lifespan.
  • Work with hot runner systems and ensure compliance with safety standards.
