Fitter Mechanic

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Fitter Mechanic in the cable manufacturing industry or a related field.
  • Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Fitting & Machining, or a relevant trade qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairing cable manufacturing machinery.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate cable extrusion machines according to production schedules and specifications.
  • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation.
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs to keep machinery in optimal condition.
  • Inspect finished cables for quality, ensuring they meet specified dimensions, color, and insulation requirements.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including machine settings, material usage, and output.
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to supervisor
