Drill Fitter

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Drill Fitter
• Must be a mechanical engineer or have relevant status with a heavy diesel capabilities
• Capable of diagnosing drill rig breakdowns, rebuilds and new builds
• Experience with:
  • Replacement of engine and air compressor, hydraulic pumps and motors, hydraulic cylinders, rotation units and directional valves and main valve block
  • Reconditioning of feeder and boom
  • Resealing of break-out cylinders undercarriage repair
  • Replacement of bottom rollers, top rollers, idler, and track frame
  • Basic troubleshooting of engines & fuel systems
• Should be able to read and understand hydraulic schematic diagrams, pneumatics, with the ability to troubleshoot and commission
• Knowledge & experience with Epiroc D65 Mkll XLF, Pit Viper 271/275, DML and sound RCS 3/4/5 knowledge
• Must have a driver’s license
• Must be either IELTS exempted or IELTS passer
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
