Aureol Global Connections is seeking a skilled Welder (MIG/TIG) with proven experience in engineering or manufacturing environments. The successful candidate will perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel components while ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with fabrication specifications.
WELDER (MIG/TIG)
Qualifications:
- Recognized qualification as a Welder or equivalent trade certification.
- Proven experience performing TIG and MIG welding in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Experience welding both mild steel and stainless steel.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical and fabrication drawings.
- Good knowledge of welding procedures, equipment, and workshop practices.
- Ability to prepare, fit, align, and tack components accurately before welding.
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification, or willingness to obtain the required certifications.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, hardworking, and committed to high-quality workmanship.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a busy workshop or project environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel structures and components.
- Read and interpret welding drawings, fabrication drawings, technical specifications, and measurements.
- Prepare, fit, align, and tack components prior to welding.
- Carry out welding and fabrication work according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Operate welding machines and associated workshop equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect welds and completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and dimensional requirements.
- Perform weld finishing and other necessary post-welding activities.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
- Identify and report welding defects, material issues, or other quality concerns.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized welding workstation.
- Work collaboratively with workshop and site teams to complete projects on schedule.
- Properly maintain and use welding tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment.
