Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Welder.
• At least 3 years of experience in aluminum welding.
• Proven experience using SMAW and GTAW (TIG) welding processes.
• Ability to weld in various positions using SMAW and TIG.
• Experience working in the Oil and Gas and Power Plant industries.
• At least one (1) year of college or vocational education.
• Must have good to excellent communication skills.
• Able to provide any relevant Trade Certificate.
• Must have no more than a one-year gap in employment from 2020 to the present.
• Must have a valid passport.
• Must have a valid NBI Clearance with no derogatory record.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Strong knowledge of welding equipment, materials, procedures, and safety practices.
• Good ability to read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.
• Physically fit and capable of performing demanding industrial welding work.
• Safety-conscious, reliable, disciplined, and able to work effectively as part of a professional team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform welding and metal fabrication work according to technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Perform SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) and GTAW (TIG) welding on various metal components and structures.
• Weld aluminum and other metal materials using appropriate welding procedures and techniques.
• Perform welding in all required positions using SMAW and TIG processes.
• Prepare, fit, align, and position metal components before welding.
• Read and interpret welding symbols, technical drawings, measurements, and specifications.
• Prepare metal surfaces through cleaning, grinding, cutting, and other required methods.
• Set up welding machines, equipment, electrodes, filler materials, and other tools according to the assigned work.
• Apply proper welding techniques to achieve accurate, strong, and consistent welds.
• Inspect completed welds for penetration, alignment, appearance, strength, and defects.
• Perform grinding, cleaning, finishing, and corrective welding work as required.
• Carry out welding repairs and rework defective or incomplete welds.
• Work on industrial equipment, structures, piping, and components used in Oil and Gas and Power Plant industries.
• Follow approved welding procedures, workplace specifications, and project quality requirements.
• Conduct basic checks of welding equipment and report equipment defects or safety concerns.
• Handle welding materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow workplace health and safety, environmental, and quality-control procedures.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and observe safe welding practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Coordinate with supervisors, fitters, fabricators, engineers, and other tradespeople.
• Complete assigned welding work within required production and project schedules.
• Perform other welding, fabrication, repair, and maintenance duties as assigned.
