WELDER FABRICATOR

 Qualifications:

• Male, not more than 40 years old.
• Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator or in a closely related fabrication position.
• Skilled in aluminum fabrication and TIG welding.
• Strong experience fabricating vehicle accessory brackets and custom automotive components.
• Advanced fabrication and welding skills.
• Knowledgeable in the fabrication of car camping equipment and off-road/overlanding accessories.
• Ability to measure, cut, shape, drill, fit, and assemble aluminum materials accurately.
• Strong TIG welding skills with the ability to produce clean and consistent welds.
• Ability to read and follow fabrication drawings, measurements, sketches, and technical instructions.
• Strong understanding of welding preparation, joint fit-up, alignment, and finishing.
• Ability to inspect welds and fabricated parts for quality and structural integrity.
• Proficient in the safe use of welding machines, grinders, cutting tools, drills, and other fabrication equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to produce custom fabrication solutions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Safety-conscious and committed to maintaining high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Perform aluminum fabrication and TIG welding for automotive and off-road applications.
• Fabricate and install custom vehicle accessory brackets according to measurements and design requirements.
• Fabricate components for car camping and overlanding equipment.
• Produce mounting brackets, supports, frames, holders, and other vehicle accessories.
• Measure, mark, cut, bend, drill, shape, and assemble aluminum materials.
• Perform TIG welding on aluminum components with proper heat control and welding technique.
• Prepare materials and joints before welding to ensure proper fit-up and weld quality.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, sketches, measurements, and technical specifications.
• Ensure fabricated parts have accurate dimensions, proper alignment, and strong structural integrity.
• Perform grinding, deburring, finishing, and other post-fabrication work as required.
• Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for cracks, porosity, distortion, weak joints, and other defects.
• Make necessary adjustments, repairs, or rework to meet required quality standards.
• Fabricate custom components based on vehicle configuration and accessory requirements.
• Work with mechanics and auto electricians to ensure fabricated accessories are compatible with vehicle systems.
• Use welding machines, cutting tools, grinders, drills, presses, measuring tools, and other fabrication equipment safely.
• Maintain welding and fabrication tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Keep the fabrication area clean, organized, and free from unnecessary hazards.
• Follow proper welding, fabrication, workshop, and occupational safety procedures.
• Use appropriate PPE when performing welding, cutting, grinding, and fabrication activities.
• Complete fabrication projects accurately and within the required timeframe.
