Stellar New Zealand Ltd. is seeking experienced Water Treatment Plant Technicians for deployment to New Zealand. The successful candidate will support the operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of wastewater and potable water treatment facilities.

WATER TREATMENT PLANT TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Must have experience in both wastewater and potable water treatment plants.
• Must possess sufficient English communication skills to guide operators and coordinate troubleshooting activities with on-site technicians and operators.
• Experience in or ability to use BiB membrane plants, Battery SDRF self-draining rapid sand filters, ponding systems, and sequencing batch reactors.
• Overseas experience related to the position is an advantage.
• IELTS or PTE passer.
• Must have good English comprehension and communication skills.
• Applicants with a high school education level may apply.
• Strong troubleshooting, technical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of plant safety procedures, water treatment processes, and equipment maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and maintain wastewater and potable water treatment plant systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot plant issues and coordinate with operators and technicians to restore normal operations efficiently.
• Monitor treatment processes, system performance, water quality, and operational parameters.
• Assist in operating BiB membrane plants, SDRF self-draining rapid sand filters, ponding systems, and sequencing batch reactors.
• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on plant equipment and systems.
• Ensure compliance with operational standards, environmental regulations, and workplace safety procedures.
• Record operational data, maintenance activities, and technical reports accurately.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and plant personnel regarding operational concerns and maintenance requirements.
• Support continuous improvement of plant efficiency, safety, and reliability.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of plant facilities, tools, and equipment.
