Warehouseman

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Warehouseman, Storekeeper, or in a similar warehouse role.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and material handling procedures.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and move materials and products.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer applications is an advantage.
• Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is preferred.
• Good organizational, time management, and record-keeping skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory.
• Physically fit and able to work in a warehouse environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, products, and supplies against delivery documents.
• Load, unload, move, and store goods using appropriate material handling equipment.
• Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas to ensure efficient space utilization and easy access to inventory.
• Pick, pack, label, and prepare orders for delivery or shipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs or warehouse management systems.
• Conduct regular stock counts and assist with inventory audits and reconciliation.
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages, damaged items, or discrepancies to supervisors.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of materials to prevent loss or damage.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment when authorized.
• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety within the warehouse.
• Follow company procedures for receiving, issuing, storing, and dispatching materials.
• Comply with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with purchasing, logistics, and other departments to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
• Perform other warehouse and logistics duties assigned by management.
