Hub And Spoke Logistics is seeking experienced and qualified Truck Drivers under the Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) program to work in Japan. The successful candidates will operate delivery trucks on fixed or scheduled routes, transport goods safely to designated hubs, assist with loading and unloading cargo, conduct vehicle inspections, and maintain accurate delivery and driving records. Candidates must have relevant truck-driving experience and meet the required Japanese language and SSW qualifications for truck driving.

TRUCK DRIVER (SSW)

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience is required.
• No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
• Must meet the required qualifications for the Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) Truck Driving category.
• Must have JLPT N4, JFT-Basic, and/or completed 3 years of TITP training in Japan, or have the required Prometric qualification for Truck Driving, as applicable.
• Must have proven experience driving delivery trucks, particularly 6-wheelers and larger vehicles.
• Must hold a valid Philippine Driver’s License with Restrictions 1, 2, 3, and 8.
• Knowledge and experience in delivery operations, cargo handling, and route driving.
• Able to conduct basic vehicle safety and maintenance checks before and after trips.
• Knowledgeable in proper cargo loading, securing, transportation, and unloading procedures.
• Able to accurately complete delivery documents, driving logs, and other required records.
• Physically fit and capable of performing loading and unloading activities when required.
• Good navigation and route-following skills.
• Responsible and safety-conscious when operating commercial vehicles.
• Dedicated, hardworking, reliable, and passionate about truck driving and logistics work.
• Able to follow Japanese workplace rules, transportation regulations, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Willing and able to work effectively in a Japanese logistics and transportation environment.

Responsibilities:

• Drive delivery trucks safely along fixed or scheduled routes to designated hubs and delivery locations.
• Operate 6-wheeler trucks and larger delivery vehicles for the transportation of goods.
• Follow assigned routes, schedules, delivery instructions, and traffic regulations.
• Safely load, secure, transport, and unload cargo according to company procedures.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods, including the use of automated equipment such as forklifts when authorized and required.
• Check cargo before departure to ensure that items are properly secured and protected during transportation.
• Conduct routine safety and maintenance inspections of the truck before and after each trip.
• Check tires, brakes, lights, fluid levels, safety equipment, and other basic vehicle conditions.
• Report vehicle defects, mechanical problems, accidents, or safety concerns immediately to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain proper delivery documentation, including delivery slips, trip records, and other required paperwork.
• Record driving hours and maintain accurate trip and transportation logs.
• Confirm completed deliveries and drop-offs with warehouse personnel or designated receiving staff.
• Obtain required signatures, delivery confirmations, or other proof of delivery.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff, dispatchers, supervisors, and other logistics personnel regarding delivery schedules and cargo requirements.
• Follow proper procedures for handling, securing, and transporting different types of goods.
• Maintain the cleanliness and proper condition of the assigned truck.
• Follow Japanese road safety regulations and company driving policies.
• Practice defensive and safe driving at all times.
• Respond appropriately to unexpected road, weather, vehicle, or delivery-related situations.
• Minimize delays, cargo damage, and delivery errors through careful planning and responsible driving.
• Ensure all assigned deliveries and transportation tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Perform other transportation, delivery, loading, and logistics duties assigned by management.
