Mercan Recruit Ltd. is hiring a Truck Driver responsible for safely operating articulated trailers and long-haul trucks to transport various types of cargo across assigned routes in Canada. The role requires strong driving experience, vehicle handling skills, and adherence to road safety regulations and company standards.

TRUCK DRIVER

Qualifications:

  • Maximum age: 45 years old
  • At least Secondary School Graduate
  • Minimum 3 years continuous experience as articulated trailer / long-haul driver
  • Experience in hauling different types of cargo using various trailers
  • Experience driving articulated trucks with Hi-Lo transmission
  • Basic knowledge in vehicle troubleshooting
  • Physically fit and able to handle long driving hours
  • Willing to take IELTS General Training with minimum CLB 5 result

Responsibilities:

  • Operate articulated trailer and long-haul trucks for cargo transport
  • Safely haul different types of cargo using various trailer configurations
  • Perform long-distance driving duties in compliance with transport regulations
  • Conduct basic vehicle troubleshooting and minor roadside checks when needed
  • Ensure proper handling and secure loading/unloading of goods
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicle
  • Follow road safety rules, company policies, and transport regulations
  • Complete required trip logs and documentation accurately

Requirements:

  • Certificate of Employment (from previous up to present employment)
  • NBI Clearance
  • Passport (with 3 years validity)
  • Complete School Credentials
