TRUCK DRIVER

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of Heavy Rigid (HR) truck driving experience.
• Experience operating vacuum trucks, skip trucks, flatbed trucks, or similar heavy vehicles is highly advantageous.
• Experience with industrial vacuum trucks, liquid waste operations, and transfer hoses is preferred.
• Experience in high-pressure water blasting is an advantage.
• Must hold a valid driver’s licence appropriate for heavy truck driving, subject to Australian licensing requirements.
• Must be capable of performing daily vehicle inspections and basic mechanical and safety checks.
• Must have a strong commitment to workplace safety, waste management, environmental protection, and safe driving practices.
• Must have good English communication skills and be able to understand workplace instructions and safety procedures.
• Must be physically capable of performing truck driving and related industrial duties.
• Must be reliable, safety-conscious, responsible, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
• Must be willing to comply with Australian workplace, road safety, environmental, and employment requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate Heavy Rigid (HR) trucks, including vacuum, skip, flatbed, or similar heavy vehicles.
• Transport and handle materials, waste, equipment, and other loads according to assigned routes and operational requirements.
• Operate industrial vacuum truck systems and related equipment when required.
• Handle liquid waste, transfer hoses, and vacuum equipment safely and efficiently.
• Connect, position, and operate transfer hoses and associated equipment during loading, unloading, and waste collection activities.
• Perform pre-start, daily, and post-operation vehicle inspections to ensure trucks and equipment are safe and roadworthy.
• Conduct basic vehicle checks and report mechanical defects, equipment faults, or safety concerns promptly.
• Follow established waste collection, transportation, handling, and disposal procedures.
• Maintain accurate records, including vehicle inspections, work activities, waste movements, and relevant documentation.
• Assist with loading, unloading, positioning, and securing equipment or materials as required.
• Maintain trucks, equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Follow workplace health and safety, waste management, environmental, and traffic regulations.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow site-specific safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, site personnel, customers, and other team members.
• Perform other driving, transport, waste management, and operational duties as assigned.
